This feels like a Christmas gift to me! I’m loving Shez’s background story, she was the one character I was most curious about ever since you introduced her. I’m so happy to get to know her story, despite how heartbreaking it is π π Thank you for creating her AND the entire lease bound, it’s the only webcomic I follow and love, thanks to the great representation you’re creating for butches and radfems as well β€οΈβπ©Ή
Crystal here clesarly trying to take out Shez’s lower back as a cunning sneak attack.
Shez lifts her sisters, and with them, my spirits <3 (I am too ill for a proper wall of text but please be aware that I love how cool and strong she is and this is a lovely Training Arc)

Living for the visual storytelling on this page, how Shez is doing pushups on her feet now instead of her knees, seeing the rock slowly get higher and higher in each panel, the symbolism of her lifting up her little sisters on her back while they literally motivate her to get stronger *chefs kiss*

Seeing the range of expressions that you allow your women to have in this comic has been wonderful, and it’s come to a head in this chapter.
I saw the leashed nature of artists who draw/design women being discussed in the comments a couple pages ago, and I’ve adored seeing Shez looking so “ugly” during this hideous time of her life. She’s hurting, she’s exerting every last bit of power she has, she’s furious; it’s SO visceral and fantastic.

Regardless of my ideological differences with you and the rest of your audience, I have been loving your story! It’s both heartbreaking to see Shez in such a difficult situation, while also inspiring to watch her work hard to overcome it (not that she should have had to be in such a situation in the first place).
