MANNNN, I admit that the cyclops eye is a bit too much for me (I’m a philistine but I just think of Mike Wazowski lmao) but Apostate Riley with her eyes covered is GORGEOUS, goddamn. And I know Kirie’s just meant to be a mostly blank-slate character for Jaden to dance with (or at least I presume she is given her lack of eyes) but mannn, she’s cute as hell too ;_; her little hair curl is killing me, as is watching her effortlessly dip a woman twice her size lol.

Still loving Riley’s blunt, brief realtalk. It pisses me off how gendies insist that they aren’t hurting anyone else and just want to be left alone while being one of the most pushy, overbearing and invasive moments out there – Riley saying what everyone secretly wants to is so cathartic.

I also love that Riley’s apostate form so specifically goes against feminine ideals of beauty: sturdy, hairy legs, unkempt hair, sharp teeth, speaking her mind… I love her <3

Riley is right, Jaden looks so happy 🥹 But regardless, even if Jaden hated being a woman and cried everyday wishing she was a man…she’d still be a woman. There are things we are born with that we can’t change, learning to live a full life with the hand we’ve been dealt is fundamental to being human.

I’m sorry, but when I first saw Riley in the bottom panel, all my brain wanted me to type was “Boots with the fur! (With the fur!)”

Now that that’s out of my system, I love seeing Riley stand up for Jaden while Jaden herself is just enjoying the moment, especially since she was so nervous about returning to work before. Now, we wait to see how Blaire’s going to respond to yet another question where the obvious answer is, “Oh. Yeah. You’re right, babe.”

Obsessed with the way Apostate Riley dips Blaire and the order information is presented on this page. If I just glance at Riley and Blaire, they look downright tempestuous. Blaire is off-guard and Riley looks like she’s shouting, showing her claws to emphasize a point, tail jabbed at her girlfriend– wait, isn’t Kirie dipping Jaden the same way, arm out, looking right at her? And both she and Jaden are having a great time. Kirie is just missing the fangs and tail and claws. Beyond that, Kirie’s body language looks more relaxed, and emphasizes how tense and uncomfortable Riley’s pose is right now.

Riley is asking Blaire a question any normal person would ask when someone forces the issue. It’s no-nonsense, but it only feels hostile because of her background and how ferociously Blaire defends her beliefs. Yet her actions feel more monstrous to her than they look to all the normal women around her. What an effective way to show it using the composition and visual flow of the page.

I just binged everything and I have to know in the 6 years you’ve been doing this why do you insist on making the palms of black characters like bright pink and, even worse, with no blending between the rest of the skin? It looks like an old time-y racist caricature. If you’ve never met anyone with significant melanin in their skin, Google exists. You said before that you use a limited color palette and if that’s still the case it would be better to just make the hands a solid hue because even with proper blending like you obviously know how to do, the neon pink will always look bad. And it will be silly if say Jaden and Violet have the same colored palms but different skin tones.
