Parniya is so … I love her and I can’t describe my excitement and fear whenever her backstory might come up. Given how Shez and Jaden go, and what we know of Riley… kinda scared for Parniya. Especially since she has a pair of brothers and yeesh, we know how that went with Jaden even if Josie isn’t abusive, she still did end up treating Jacob with so much praise despite the fact he was doing bare minimum re: school while Jaden was all A+. And he doesn’t even do housework? I like Josie but I must be a critic even when I like a character.
 

So Parniya’s family life has me concerned. I would hope it isn’t like the typical Iranian family where sons are favored over daughters, but given realism is prominent in this comic regarding how the world is rough for women regardless, I know it won’t be easy for Parn. Thus I am ready to enter fight mode if anybody wrongs her.
