I feel so bad for Josie, she doesn’t want Jaden trapped without an education like she is. Becoming a doctor would give Jaden a comfortable and secure life, that’s all a parent wants for their child. But we all only have one life to live.
That’s some nice symbolic rain! I completely understand Josie, and I do agree with her haha but maybe it’s partly due to the big Asian influence in my upbringing. But Jaden is an adult now and needs to make her own decisions in life, too. If her choices end up a mistake, they’re a mistake, but it’s her own life, she knows herself best, and there does come a point where we have to decide for ourselves the direction of our lives.
I do love adding a weather change for dramatic effect XDD The heavy shadow in the last page’s panel, and the wind billowing through the hung sheets was meant to be the start of the sudden storm. If I could choose any scene of LB so far to be animated, it’d probably be this one!
