Maaannnnn packing in a hurry is already so gd stressful I can’t even imagine this!! It’s making me tense!!!!
That said I love how the gradient is a little less harsh here. It’s just Shanzey her mom and her sisters! It feels almost relaxed like it could be a nice family walk to enjoy the sunrise! Rizza’s lil Miss Wool Plushie is also so!!!!
I hope they get to have an actual nice walk together in the future!

And they have so little things with them considering, yet clearly Merriam is prepared. She must have been keeping tabs in her head of what they could bring as she was cleaning the house.
But the fact she’s going to walk 20 km with her little ones so close post partum… She’s so strong ToT
The game-ifying of the escape reminds me of my older sister doing the same when we had to sneak out of the house and not be caught by my father to escape him v_v

Considering they’re going a long way on foot (especially with two little kids with little legs that tend to get tired and need to be carried sometimes on long walks) , they’d only be packing the barest essentials, and when it’s a life or death situation it’s amazing how little that really is.
Also worth considering Chris has complete financial control and seems the type to mostly splurge on himself and it’s possible that Meriam and Shez don’t have many things to pack in the first place (and fewer they’d want to take if associated with him). Maybe picture him surprising his two daughters with showy toys from time to time and basking in the bought adoration of tiny children (narcissists tend to love that).
20 km is over 12 miles…holy shit 😨😔 for a woman who just had a baby, and those little kids; too!
And me I shudder to think of it because I can only walk about a mile before it becomes too much, two miles and I’m in a whole lot of pain; more and my legs may begin to give out…
I’m sure I could push further if my life depended upon it but wow! Being able-bodied is hard to imagine; and it impresses upon me just how much more dangerous certain situations could be for someone born with limitations like mine.
I’m glad Miriam and her girls have strength and health! They have needed it so much 💔
Meriam’s last pregnancy definitely threw a wrench in her original escape plan, but she likely feels going now is better than waiting on another opportunity like this to fall into her lap.
Can guarantee little ‘Rissa and Rocky (Crystal) will be cashing in on some piggybacks with Shez.
The body can do some amazing things under the right pressure (I always think of the mother lifting a car off her child), but even still, a limit is a limit 🩷 Thank you for sharing your perspective!

Meriam really was planning a lot behind the scenes, wasn’t she? I have a feeling she knows what Shez is doing and is trying to get her out now to protect her 😥

Man, this page is so sweet and hopeful compared to all the ones preceding it. While I know they aren’t out of the woods yet, it’s just such a relief to see Meriam and Shez’s struggles and patience finally start to pay off.
I’m almost gonna miss Shez’s Saiyan hair too lmaooo, it gives her such an interesting silhouette.
Like Vitamin C on the last page i had a dream about LB but in my dream this was just. the last page of the chapter and then the next page was a ‘That’s the end of the chapter! Thanks for reading!’ type thing and I just sat there going ‘but what. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT D:’ lmao. I know this is probably calm before ANOTHER storm but this page looks so nice and peaceful.
