Eeeeeuuuuurrrrrrggggghhhhhh. Blaire’s endlessly selfless, charitable, patient and kind demeanor would honestly come off as a really endearing character point of hers if it wasn’t monopolized by literally the least possibly deserving character in the comic.
I can’t stop wondering what the fuck he thought would happen :sob: did he think she’d blush and see him in a new light and start crushing on him or something? I feel like he’s the sort of dude who watches too much anime.
I love Blaire’s little hair wings and Riley’s antenna, but I don’t want to think about the time and effort Blaire/the beautician must have put into making the hair wings happen.
I hope the next page has a detailed look at Riley’s outfit to compliment this page’s Blaire. So far, it looks simple but cute.

Blaire looks stunning in that shade of red! It really sets off her eyes, and it still looks good with Riley’s blue. Also her bob and tiny ponytails/wings are adorable.
On another note: the way Blaire acts, you’d think Timothy had promised to Suicidal Crisis if anyone ever said anything was his fault 😑 (To be fair, that’s accurate to the TIMs I’ve known.)

I love this page so much. I love how gorgeous it looks. Blaire looks gorgeous and Riley does, too (I understand she may prefer being called handsome. She’s that, too!!!). Honestly, I didn’t recognize Riley at first. She cleans up nice!!
The colors and dialogue and the way Blaire travels across the page. I love the way this page makes your eyes move across it. It’s so satisfying. I feel like I can actually see Blaire moving to Riley. I love that Blaire calls her baby. The softness in how she speaks to Riley makes me swoon. It’s honestly kind of funny that this page has baby girl juxtaposed in it. He’s so ugly and gross and he’s just THERE on this otherwise gorgeous page. I’d say it’s funny but he’s so disgusting that I can’t find it that humerous lmao. He’s like a black cloud.
Rusty, I gotta be honest, I don’t know what it is but something about this page makes me feel the dread of this upcoming break up in the way nothing else has so far. The way Blaire reassures Riley in this really just gets to me.
This page from the outfits to the layout to the dialogue is genuinely so stunning. Good job! I was looking forward to this update and RUSHED here when I finally remembered it was Sunday. I was not disappointed ❤️

Blaire, oh girl, I know you meant well, but is sad that you’re not going to get a refund for that dress (even more when Timmoty-chan will cry trancephobia because his “melons” weren’t the fault the dress passed away).
I really like how they look with opposite colors, not gonna lie, but that dress was quite gorgeous and fit way better in Blaire to match Riley.

I think we’re overlooking an important sacrifice Blaire had to make here too: not only did she have to buy another dress, she had to buy ANOTHER pair of matching shoes !!! (did she donate the shoes to Tim too so he can murder them like he did the blue dress ? é_è)

Wait a minute, am I picking up on some symbolism here? Blaire isn’t wearing blue because of Timothy (and isn’t upset because of her loyalty to him and the trans cause), and of all the other important characters we’ve seen this chapter, Jaden is the only one wearing blue………. 👀👀👀
I also want to point out that not only did Blaire have to buy a whole new dress but either had to buy, or at least replan, all her accessories. She wouldn’t have worn that red choker and those red heels with the blue dress, and likely changed all her makeup to better match the new dress as well.
I don’t know if tim even thought of that in the haze of his gross fetishistic stealing of her clothes, but I wouldn’t put it past him to have hoped ruining the dress would mean Blaire would have to cancel going to the dance. After all, she dared to turn him down when he whined about only wanting to dance with her, and what better way to punish her than to make it so she can’t go to the event?

late to comment on this page but i noticed that while blaire is initially walking very carefully as to not step on her dress, after she hears riley’s question, she rushes over without pause. that’s so sweet. these little glimpses at the positive parts of blaire’s character are so frustrating… one second you like her and in the next you want to shake her by the shoulders ://
