As a former martial artist I really appreciate how you incorporated it into the comic! Spot on, accurate self-defense stuff in these last few pages. Another way to break out of either an unconsensual hug or even a choke hold is to suddenly and sharply drop yourself downward; especially if you’re struggling to undo their grasp on you ✌️
I also really appreciate the general commaderie you’re showing between these ladies, particularly when so much media doesn’t show us having that or even being more hostile than helpful.
I feel bad for Jaden being so nervous, I’m glad it was a simple and positive interaction, lol. I’ve had a soft spot for her from day one 😅💜.
And ugh, I REALLY need to go to the gym… I’d give so much to not be tiny and delicate, but I have so much chronic pain and depression and self-consciousness and ADHD paralysis, and the whole world of fitness building is incredibly overwhelming to me. Maybe I should just start a martial arts class again, and see what happens…

I just started reading leasebound today and I was so sad when I realized I got fully caught up! This has been a delightful read so far, I’m a lesbian who recently peaked and its so lovely to see a comic that’s so well-written and heartwarming from a woman with the same perspective!
