i like the details like the car headlights casting long shadows on the rocks. how foreboding it feels to be exposed in the light like that, with the long shadow looming over

These pages feel like they have higher stakes than whenever you watch a superhero movie and some guy threatens to end the world.

The way he nonchalantly stands over her… I’m the least maternal woman you’ll ever meet but if I saw even a random toddler in the middle of the road at night I’d be freaked, running to them, picking them up and checking they were ok, and this is his kid! Is this the part where Shez kills him? I know it’s hard for a child to do and it may be cruel for me to say “come on Shez do this hard thing!” but MAKE HIM DIE
Also, I used to live in a large rural plot, and if my mom ever found a toddler (least of all a family member) randomly far out on the land, she would not be as calm as that. What’s going on in that head of his? Nothing in his heart.
