The coloring on the umbrella is very satisfying to look at, I keep coming back to look at it. Sorry it has to be on this page, I also keep putting myself in Jaden’s shoes and it’s too painful to think about how much hardship she’s faced. Even in present day she’s still getting the short stick, some women are dealt unlucky cards in life, and despite this they are strong enough not to turn into cruel unpleasant people the way men do. Can’t wait to see her happy ending.
I love how the red in dialogue bubbles in the fourth panel and the red lighting in the fifth panel show where the characters are in relation to each other. This page looks great, though the content is heartbreaking. 🙁 I hope Jaden catches a break soon!

I came from the future. I know Nana has dementia. And yet, I read this page, I am shocked and surprised and like OH NO NANA HAS DEMENTIA HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!?!?!
I could not believe it.
I’m sure a person could just say “hey that’s just you being stupid” but I would say HELLO. I THINK NOT. It’s the story-telling, the set-up, the COLORS in those last two panels and just!! The body language in the final panel, the blue and that radiating red light, the pamphlet. Like this is just so. ART. VERY well done, very incredible and powerful moment that shows you are really flourishing in this medium. Gosh darn that last panel is just Everything. Everything.
To me this has been the most hard-hitting page of all. And it’s not like it’s something that personally resonates with me at all, I don’t know this particular struggle. But you did such a fantastic job on the artwork that it just hit me so hard
