CH5P19

** "Grand Junky" is how my wife and I refer to "Grand Junction Road" - a real (and very long road) here in Adelaide (also mentioned as the street Jaden and Riley live on in Chapter 2). Β  Strap yourselves in for more local references and aussie-slang.

So excited to catch you all on the next update - I've got a bunch of pages backlogged now as I'm settling into the schedule. It's taking everything in me not just to post em now, lol. Patience is a virtue.

See you all October 9th!! Comments are greatly appreciated <3

  1. I’m really loving your facial expressions during this chapter. There is a subtly to them that is extremely impressive. Like human faces can be both subtle and powerful in showing how they feel during the same moment. You convey so much through all of these expressions and the looks the characters are giving each other. I hope I can get on your art-level someday, your work is so inspiring.

This moment is also very like. Real. Jaden feeling so raw, but also able to smile and laugh during some grounding casual conversations. I love Shez and Parniya both making absolutely sure to tell Jaden she did a great job, she needs to hear that positive feedback. And I love how they share their past experiences with her. I am just like loving how you capture moments like this. You’re such a good story-teller.

The bruises and injuries are also very well-drawn. And your texture work is fantastic during this chapter.

Amazing, wonderful work. Thank you for creating and sharing.

    1. Your comments are always such a pleasure to see in my notification box – thank you for taking the time to send them!
I’m really proud of my expression work in this chapter, it’s incredibly flattering and affirming to have it recognized/complimented by readers <3

I’ve been trying to capture/balance this chapter in terms of emotions; I want it to have a ‘There’s a lot to unpack here, but as your friends we don’t want to do it carelessly, so we’re gonna.. distract you from it for now”. It’s been great to flesh out on Parniya and Shez a bit more, their dynamic together, and establish things about their past with the club. World building in dialogue – my fave tbh.

Thank you so, so much again for leaving me lovely comments. I’m so grateful.
Hope you enjoy the next update just as much – prepare yourself a bit of a bumpy emotional ride!
