Children: like/trust/want to talk at Jaden
Violet: Lost her chance to flirt more x-x
Not Shown: The several hundred meters Faith definitely dragged Jaden to get to the bookshop, and absolutely talked at her the whole time.

Also I would like it on the record that i did not purposely give Violet and Alexis very similar hairstyles.. But I noticed it after the fact.. And then also realized the woman in the red skirt who flirted with Jaden in Chapter 3: T is for Trouble ?

      NOO!! FUCK YOUR RIGHT!!.. I was just thinking like. A fruit and vegetable garden 😭😭
       

      It wasn’t intentionally the bi flag no lol. When picking the book colours I was trying to make it look effortlessly random but still evenly dispersed to the eye. So I started with primary colours. And then whatever secondary colours are made from mixing them sit between. So blue and pink make purple for that one.

      Having gendie detractors try and frame writing a 10 year old lesbian character as creepy/paedophilic on my part has only made me more determined to include Faith.
       
      Because they follow the split attraction model – which treats sexual and romantic desires as separate orientations, AND because they see genuine homosexuality as “genital fetishism” it makes sense that they think this way. But it makes my blood boil thinking how their disgusting way of thinking affects young lesbians.
       
      All baby lesbians deserve to feel safe and confident expressing their exclusive same sex attraction.
      And if they’re crushing on adult women (pretty normal right of passage to have crushes older than you), said adults should be responding appropriately. It feels so stupid that it needs to be said even but I know I have hate readers (with very poor reading comprehension skills).
       
      So, for the hater girlies reading: Jaden will not and was never planned to return Faith’s feelings. Lesbians are born homosexual, just like straight people. Our feelings for the sex we are attracted to develop with us. No this 10 year old lesbian doesn’t desire sex with women or girls. Because she is 10 years old.
